HISTORY

The Institute is named after the living legend and the most celebrated statistician of our time, Padma Vibushan Prof. C. R. Rao, FRS, who established the institute to promote research from grassroots levels and strengthen the Indian research community. As a result of his zeal and passion, we are striving to build an institute of excellence, which promotes research in mathematics and statistics.
